The Tortillon, safety when hiking
The Tortillon is used in hiking to tie up the animal during the night so that it has a good grazing surface.
When there is no tree or any point to attach the animal, the Tortillon becomes essential.
The movable Tortillon ring prevents knots in a chain or tie rope.

To push the Tortillon into the ground, you pass your walking stick through the ring and turn it.

For transport, the Tortillon can be stored in a Trousson, along with other more or less clean tools such as a chain attachment and a brush. If you have 2 donkeys, you can store 2 Tortillons in the Trousson.
