Rain cover Capucine
When you are hiking with a carrying animal, the Capucine rain cover protects all the luggage hung on a packsaddle, whether bags, panniers, tubes, etc…
It perfectly covers the luggage, including the side bags, because it slides underneath. The tarpaulin is cut and assembled in the shape of a large cover which fits over the luggage.
The canvas is woven and coated with insulation. It is completely waterproof against downpours of water and extremely resistant to tearing caused by brambles, stones and bark.
A strap passes under the animal’s belly and clips the Capucine laterally so that it can no longer slip or fly away.
Eight double-sandows placed at the 4 corners of the tarpaulin then hook onto the eyelets of a strap sewn into the ridge, closing all the gaps in the tarpaulin, whatever the shape of the luggage, and preventing it from bulging in the wind.
It is difficult to give the size of the Capucine, as it has a hollow shape. Overall, we can say that its length (in the direction of the donkey’s length) is 120 cm. Its width, from right to left (i.e. across the animal) is 250 cm. With these dimensions, the Capucine covers and protects all the luggage.
